Order against a defined handling requirement

A single-use sling enquiry should identify the goods being handled, their mass, the lifting connections and the sequence in which the sling will be used. Describe whether the sling is supplied separately or incorporated into the packaging of the goods. The word disposable does not define an allowable load, inspection method or applicable certification. Exact rated models, dimensions, markings and the intended handling sequence are agreed during quotation. Include the destination and the documents your receiving team needs. Do not select this product solely because a reusable sling has similar width or appearance.

Prepare a comparable lifting-sling quotation

Send the required working load limit, effective working length, lifting arrangement and contact surfaces together. A product name or colour alone does not identify a rated sling. State the destination market, required identification and documents, sample quantity and production quantity. Where a drawing controls the purchase, include the eye dimensions, webbing width and any protection. JILI reviews the configuration before issuing a quotation; the written offer identifies the supplied construction, marking, packing, lead time and applicable documents. The lift must be assessed separately using the accepted product instructions and competent lifting practice.
