Define the body and the lifting connections

For a wide body sling, describe the part of the load that will contact the textile body and identify the required lifting connection. Send the load dimensions, effective working length and a drawing of the contact arrangement. Body width, eye openings, material and ply construction are reviewed together to define the supplied sling. Include details of any sharp edges, surface finish or added protection needed at the contact area. A broad body does not by itself establish an allowable load or guarantee that a load surface will be protected. Confirm the complete rated construction and its instructions before placing a repeat order.

Prepare a comparable lifting-sling quotation

Send the required working load limit, effective working length, lifting arrangement and contact surfaces together. A product name or colour alone does not identify a rated sling. State the destination market, required identification and documents, sample quantity and production quantity. Where a drawing controls the purchase, include the eye dimensions, webbing width and any protection. JILI reviews the configuration before issuing a quotation; the written offer identifies the supplied construction, marking, packing, lead time and applicable documents. The lift must be assessed separately using the accepted product instructions and competent lifting practice.
